hello everyone i just wanted to give a quick life update as it is three years since being out of the cult.
i’ll never forget missing our first memorial back in 2017 as it etched in our minds that we were never going back to watchtower.
these last years have been amazing especially since izabella has been home with us.

i have been studying with jehovah's witnesses for approximately two years.
initially, i liked the studies and felt that i was growing closer to god.
however, as the studies progressed, they seemed to become increasingly negative and i did not like what i was being taught.
Skimmed over earlier pages myself.
Just want to add that the guy I studied with totally smothered me and was controlling. I knew what was happening but thought I was smarter than that and remained polite. ( I had a great hunger for learning the Bible and still have much respect and interest in it ) For whatever reason I wanted to get baptised asap just to get him off my back. Once I did it didn't get any better as it was just only more work and 'privileges' Ultimately I had no choice but to switch congs. and lessen to work load and enjoy life more. Then began my fade.
They really do have issues with personal boundaries, as in non existent..
PS : Yes on selfishly racking up hours for themselves. Brother study was a pioneer and invited me over for supper, study at their house so his wife could sit in and count, it was unreal !! It was extremely costly to my own mental health. Last time I ate there close to 20 years ago I peeled out after pedal to the metal. I was driving a diesel Jetta at the time and if it would of been a higher powered car I think would of smoked out first and second !
as we get older , we tend to feel the aches and pains or some tiredness like never before.. i have some friends who are in excellent condition and i’ve asked what their secret was.. some swear by cbd oil as a cure all for aches and localized pain.
greek yogurt is a natural food that can attack gut fat as does taking probiotics.
have you found anything that makes you more energized?
I'd like to try CBD oils for sleep as well. Any recommendations ?

I've become salt intolerant over the years, BP shoots right up. Eliminated chips, salty peanuts and dressings. Use non slated everything, really helps. Have one if not two salads a day with chicken or tuna and cut way down on red meat, maybe one steak diner a week at most now. Water, drink at least a litre and a half a day, probably two or more on a good day. Sugar as well, cut down quite a bit on deserts but is way less harmful for me than salt is. No more alcohol drink near bear instead. Coffee one or two max a day, half sugar. One meal replacement per day on average for breakfast, Vega One all in one is best for me I find, Isagenix shakes are more fattening. Have that with a banana. As for mulit-vitamin I take the Isagenix AM/PM packs, very expensive and am actively looking for something as good at lesser price. Works for me as I was in very rough shape at 215 after getting out of the JW treadmill, claimed my life back. Long term damage to me was the high BP that the "best life ever" engendered.
Oh and lots of mountain and fat biking combined with free weights and stretching. Doing ok for my 55 years, 5'9" 185 looking for 175-180 this summer.
Hope this helps
a look at robert alter’s translation: the hebrew biblethree volumes labeled as, "the five books of moses"; "the writings"; and "prophets.
"verse numbers appear in the margins.
my take: some view this as a plus, since this allows for continuous, undistracted reading.
good post, following
can't believe how fast time has gone by.
my mom taught me that the world was gonna end by the time i was 25..
Good for you on being awake at 36 Joliette ! I 'knew' about 'The Truth™' since childhood but started attending meeting at 37.. lasted a little under 10 years until I burned out from the never ending JW treadmill.
Read NewBoys bethel adventures and out the door I went.
Gut feelings, listen to them.
so a recent post by a troller linked to a youtube vid of the midweek meeting stream: https://www.jehovahs-witness.com/topic/5119948566298624/great-announcement.
just assuming everyone knows that this is the congregation in pt.
richie, fl that wt uses for all the shut ins approved for logging into www.stream.jw.org with the privilege of getting their meetings at home.
Interesting, yes lots of copycats. Being new and stupid I'd come up with my talks on my own. Pulled off one or two really good ones but left me so exhausted from the stress build up I struggled to do anything decent for a while after..
Used to increase the point size on my screen to fill the pages faster, what an ordeal for an introvert, never again !
Good post, best life ever right.
asia for the asians, africa for the africans, white countries for everybody!.
everybody says there is this race problem.
everybody says this race problem will be solved when the third world pours into every white country and only into white countries.. the netherlands and belgium are just as crowded as japan or taiwan, but nobody says japan or taiwan will solve this race problem by bringing in millions of third worlders and quote assimilating unquote with them.. everybody says the final solution to this race problem is for every white country and only white countries to “assimilate,” i.e., intermarry, with all those non-whites.. what if i said there was this race problem and this race problem would be solved only if hundreds of millions of non-blacks were brought into every black country and only into black countries?.
One if my machinist's in Moroccan, nicest most hardworking honest guy you'll ever meet. Hired him on ten years ago and never misses a beat. He's up for retirement next year and willing to stay on a few extra years. Sure his family has issues with Islam, himself PIMO does the bare minimum and rarely of ever goes to mosque. Does not do the Friday thing as most do not here in secular Québec. Put both his daughters through uni. Brings us Cous Cous when they come off Ramadan and we stuff our faces in the shop, invited all of us over to his place once when he first hired on. His sister in law dated my programmer and they'd hit the sack for a bang hehe. ( just like JW, pious on the outside and horny as hell on the inside, pork pork pork ) Anyhow he really changed my perception of immigrants here. That and the kids that work at the local Tim's and Subways's beside it are mostly honest, hardworking and personable. Staff made up of Haitians, Arabs, Asians and am on first name basis with the guys at the subway's Italians, Syrians and Lebanese. Well brought up and ambitious one wants to become a real estate agent, others are all in their early college years.
Oh my neighbour is a 63 years old Haitian general machinist, one man show. Another great guy and hardworking to a fault. He's there right now at work on a Sunday as I am. He's been there 25 years.
Flip side of coin is the 35 to 55 or so years old of same origin that have auto repair and body shops in the neighbouring building to our shop are not so stand up.. I'd say at least half are shady so my generational argument may have some merit.. or maybe a blue collar / white collar thing who knows
Anyhow just throwing that out there as it's interesting
